'Spinnen' means spinning, the craft you do with the spinning wheel. It also means purring, the sound Ayla was making when the sun was shining on her while she was on her favorite pillow.
And it means spiders; and Ayla finally got one before I caught it with my glass to put it outside. It was the smaller one she was ogling at for days now, and she played a little before eating it. Leaving me one of the spiders leggs to clean up after "Your Highness."

Our cat is also named Spin - I just love the different meanings of the word! He's named that because he purrs so loudly, but I like to say "Spin The Cat" because it sounds funny, too. LOL!
